Born in France in 1977 from French father and Colombian mother, Natacha Skorochod Velásquez started painting and exhibiting her work at a very early age.
She received practical training in G.Grussot art studio and then initiated the apprentice in oil painting, main medium she uses for the creation of her artworks besides the charcoal, acrylic and mix techniques.
Source of her work is mainly the result of influences and exploration of different cultures & years of travelling around the world which is displayed in the diversity of composition.
N.S.Velásquez's pieces are known for their lively expression and their brilliant colors creating an uncommon atmosphere of esthetism as well as movement.
N.S.Velásquez has been living and working for the last 15 years in Honolulu, Hawaii, Valletta, Malta, Miami,Florida,Barranquilla, Colombia, Strasbourg, France,Puerto Peñaco, Mexico , Phoenix, Arizona and Alicante, Spain.
She exhibits her paintings all over those places and also in Tokyo, Nagoya and Osaka in Japan and in Europe in Luxembourg ville , Murcia and Madrid, Spain.
Today, the Artist, is working in Strasbourg, France on a new collection of abstract paintings using mixed media & news techniques she recently acquired in Colombia. Her up coming exhibition will take place in the middle of 2012.
